LILI ARENAS ART

Welcome to my artist portfolio. When I was a little girl, I discovered that I could express more with a brush than with a thousand words, and I found this to be the best way I can communicate. Since then, I have captured feelings and emotions on canvas.

I’m a Mexican artist of Spanish descent. My paintings are contemporary, abstract and sometimes figurative. The main inspirations for my paintings are the experiences in my family environment, my work, and my background in interior design.

​

About a decade ago, I moved to San Diego, California, opened a bakery with my husband, and found inspiration here, too. The materials I use in some of my paintings include the unused cardboard left in our restaurant, acrylic paint, and occasionally I include wood, bark, sand or fabric to personalize my artwork with different textures in mixed media technique. Most of my artwork incorporates geometric figures and stains that intertwine different worlds and experiences that symbolize my background in search of aesthetic harmony.

Bienvenidos a mi portafolio artístico. Cuando era niña descubrí que con un pincel podía expresar más que con mil palabras logrando con esto; mi mejor modo de comunicación y desde entonces he plasmado emociones y sentimientos.

Soy una pintora mexicana de ascendencia española, mis obras son contemporáneas, abstractas y a veces figurativas. Las inspiraciones principales en mi pintura son mis vivencias en mi entorno familiar, trabajo, así como en el interiorismo.

​

Hace aproximadamente una década, me mudé a San Diego, California, y abrí una panadería con mi esposo en donde también encontré inspiración. Como materiales utilizo el cartón que no se usa en el restaurante en algunas de mis obras, pintura acrílica y ocasionalmente madera, cuerda, arena o tela para crear arte en técnica mixta. La mayoría de mis obras incorporan figuras geométricas y manchas que entretejen distintos mundos y experiencias que simbolizan mis antecedentes, en busca de la armonía estética.
